Assistant Professor

Er. Kaushik Rajesh is an Assistant Professor at the Mysore School of Architecture, Mysuru. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering from Nitte Mahalinga Adyantaya Memorial Institute of Technology (NMAMIT), NITTE and his Master of Science in Civil Engineering – Structural Engineering was obtained from the University of Southern California – Viterbi School of Engineering at Los Angeles. Right after he graduated from the undergraduate program, he worked as a Trainee Engineer at Sobha Ltd. with projects done in the field of construction methods and quality inspection before he moved to Los Angeles, California.

Just as he graduated from the Master’s program, he was offered a position at USC Sonny Astani Department of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering as a Resource Employee and worked there for a year on a project funded by the National Science Foundation project on the improvement of resilience and sustainability of reinforced concrete structure against ageing and seismic hazards, which involved the development of optimal UHPC mix design based on particle packing optimization.

Meanwhile, he was accepted to the program: Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering at USC with a full 4-year fellowship for the term 2020 – 2025 to work on the same project funded by NSF. He was awarded Teaching Assistantship for Mechanical Behavior of Engineering Materials and Research Assistantship for the NSF project at USC. Now after two years of it, he has moved back to India to pursue the same in a different Institution, and thus he’s currently working at MSA as mentioned earlier.
