Sketching Competition

Introduction

Sketching, with its unique ability to capture the essence of a moment in swift strokes, serves as a gateway to the artist’s imagination. This competition celebrates the raw power of graphite, charcoal, and ink, where every line tells a story and every shade evokes emotion.

Sketching heritage related information allows artists and enthusiasts to engage deeply with historical and cultural landmarks, preserving their essence in a personal and creative way. Heritage sketching serves as both an artistic expression and a form of documentation, highlighting the cultural significance and historical narrative of places like ancient temples, monuments, historic neighborhoods, culture, nature and crafts. In essence, heritage sketching bridges past and present, making the experience of history accessible, personal, and enduring.

Participation

This competition is open to individual students from all the Educational Institutes;

Themes: Each participant will have the opportunity to showcase their sketching prowess and unique artistic style on one of the following themes.

1. Heritage Monuments
2. Cultural Landscape
3. Heritage Arts and Crafts
4. Any other topic related to Heritage

Details of the competition:

• Participants are required to be at the venue before 9.00 am for registration.
• Participants will be given a sheet for sketching 1no. A3 size sheet.
• Students have to get their own stationaries other than drawing sheet.
• Judges decision is final
• All students will be given participation certificate on the day of the competition
• Prizes will be distributed on 25^th Nov 2024 at 10.30 am  
• Registration fee for this competition is FREE.
