B.Shashi Bhooshan did his B. Arch from Kerala University, Master of Town Planning from Madras University and a Ph. D from Mysore University. He taught and researched at School of Planning and Architecture, Chennai and Institute of Development Studies at University of Mysore. He was a consultant to UN at Nagoya and was associated with Human settlement studies of the International Institute of Environment and Development, London on several policy studies in India and other Asian countries. Since 1987, Dr. Bhooshan is practicing architecture in Mysore and Bangalore.
Dr. Bhooshan’s works have received critical acclaim; Nine awards and prizes at national level including Four IIA awards for excellence in Architecture from the Indian Institute of Architects, one JK Cements Architect of the Year Award and one HUDCO Prize, an award and a special mention from A+D Spectrum Awards in architecture and one STONA Prize for excellence in use of stone in architecture. Shashi Bhooshan had been associated with many educational institutions on Board of Studies, Doctoral committees and also as doctoral guide. He was a visiting professor at Mysore University, Professor of Eminence at RV College of Engineering, Bangalore and currently he is a Professor of Architecture and Research Advisor at the BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore. He had lectured at various National and International Fora and Institutions. He has written on development planning, human settlements, housing and architecture and is the author and editor of five books on human settlement policies in Asia besides numerous papers and articles.
Prof.Dr. Günter Nest
Dr. Günter Nest, after studying architecture, history of art and dramatics as well as urban and regional planning, earned a doctoral degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a study on the role of voluntary organizations in coastal Andhra Pradesh (India). His activities as consultant, photographer and curator are centered on urban planning and design, whereby he especially stresses local strategies for urban development in varying cultural arenas.
He teaches at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee and holds an honorary professorship at the Department of Architecture of Technical University Berlin. From 2004 to 2012, he was visiting professor at the University School of Design in Mysore, India. Presently he is working out a collaboration for his Berlin Institute with our MSA.
Prof. D. S. Ramakrishna Rao
Prof. D. S. Ramakrishna Rao has done his B.Arch form Chandigarh College of Architecture and Masters in Architecture from OHIO State University, USA. He has over 30 years of experience in the Sultanate of Oman, USA and India. He has handled a variety of projects ranging from Institutional Campuses, Industrial Complexes, Residential Township and Single Family Villas. His firm is called Architectural Wall Systems in Muscat and Desirazu Associates in India. He is the winner of the “Oman Green Champion Award” 2012 for Caledonian College Campus Project.
He has also awarded “Best Teacher Award” by Indian Institute of Architects in 2013. He is part of visiting faculty member at University of Mysore, Caledonian College of Engineering & School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University, Chennai and Mysore School of Architecture, Mysore.
Ar. Stefanos J Eapen
Ar. Stefanos J Eapen has graduated from MS University Baroda and has Masters in Architecture from PRATT Institute New York. He has more than 30 years of experience in responsibly delivering a wide range of civil, infrastructure, urban and environmental projects and programmes in the United States. He has a demonstrated record of successful management and technical leadership of Multi-disciplinary, multi-firm projects completed within complex technical and regulatory settings. He is a Member of American Institute of Architects, Construction Management Association of America,
Water Environment Association America and American Concrete Institute. He has also participated in Partnering, Sigma Six, and Quality based BMP programs.
Roshni Thomas is an architect and university planning executive from the USA, who is presently a consultant to University projects, providing leadership in planning and design management. Her background and qualification include over 25 years of experience in University planning, design and Construction, and a master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University, New York. Roshni previously served as Deputy Director of both Design and Construction Operations, for the 9 urban campuses of the Los Angeles District. Both at LACCD and in her 15 years with the California State University system, Roshni guided the work of leading master planners and distinguished architectural firms to develop a vision that would reflect the aspirations of the institutions.
She brings to master planning and the design of the building her training as an urban designer. Enthusiastic about education in India, Roshni says “Building educational institutions affects countless lives, and will change the aspirations not just of the students, but also the aspirations of the people in the region; the impact will be seen in the economy of the immediate region and the nation, not just during construction, but stretching to subsequent generations. Prof. Ravi Gundu Rao
Prof. Ravi Gundu Rao is a Civil Engineer with Masters in Planning from School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi. He has done M.A in Conservation from University of York, U. His firm RGRA specializes in Architectural Conservation of Heritage Buildings and Sites. He has also been part of the Faculty in Architecture Department at Mysore University, Dept. of Architecture MCE, Hassan and Dept. of Architecture MIT, Manipal.

Ar. Rakesh Kodoth has done his Bachelors of Architecture form Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur, Bangalore University and Master of Science from London Metropolitan University, London, United Kingdom. He is presently the managing partner of Dialogue Design Partners, Bangalore. He has professional expertise in Energy Efficient & Sustainable Design, Mixed Use Developments, High Rise Developments, Hospitality and leisure, Interior Architecture, Post contract services, Contract Administration.
His accreditations include Blue code (Building Regulations), CED Trakhees, Dubai and Turquoise code (Design for People with Disabilities), CED Trakhees, Dubai.
R. Kiran Kumar
R. Kiran Kumar is an architect based in Bangalore employed at Hundredhands. Hundredhands (hundredhands.com) is an internationally recognized practice. Kiran has a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from University School of Design, Mysore University (2008) and a Master’s degree from the Center for Environmental Planning and Technology, Ahmedabad, India, in Theory and Design (2010). He is the co-author of the thesis monograph on early modernist constructs and as part of the academic experience has been on the panel of many reviews and juries at CEPT University.
